God doesn’t waste this kind of suffering and loss.
His plan for Joseph’s life and Job’s life
was intentional and purposeful.
And in both cases
it involved great suffering and loss.
But it wasn’t random suffering.
It was purposeful.
God wouldn’t leave them in their suffering.
He was refining and testing both men,
and one day they would both come forth as gold.
