‘Wait on the Lord’
is a constant refrain in the Psalms,
and it is a necessary word,
for God often keeps us waiting.
He is not in such a hurry as we are,
and it is not his way
to give more light on the future
than we need for action in the present,
or to guide us more than one step at a time.
When in doubt, do nothing,
but continue to wait on God.
When action is needed, light will come.
『等候神』是在詩篇中不斷重複的主題、
而且是必要的，因為神常常要我們等候。
祂不像我們那麼的急切倉促，
神往往不讓我們知道關於將來，
過於我們現在所需要做的、
或是過於我們現在所在走的這一步。
當我們有疑慮、什麼都不要做，繼續等候神。
當需要行動時，神的亮光會臨到。
